About

“Physical Therapy: The science of healing, the art of caring”. In a nut shell, that’s the best the definition of physiotherapy. Coincidently, those were the first words I saw on a poster hanging in my very first physiotherapy internship at the Metropolotain Washington Orthopedic Association (MWOA), Washington DC.

My name is Amina. I’m a mother, a wife, and a physiotherapist. Physiotherapy has been a natural progression for me. Sports and health were always a part of my childhood and adolescence; I swam on a national level and hold a red belt in tae kwon do, hence as an athlete I have first hand experience in the way multi disciplinary teams work in a competitive environment. Sports injuries have been part of my life for as long as I can remember and the ever-evolving science and art of healing them is what has driven me to choose physiotherapy, not just as a career but as a way of life.

I have always wanted to aid in bringing the global health revolution to Egypt. In the past, treatments were therapist-centric. My process is based on a unique patient-therapist relationship, whereby both parties work together towards locating the source of the injury, getting rid of it, and making physio a way of life.

After 15 years of schooling in both the US (The George Washington University) and The Netherlands (European School of Physiotherapy) with internship stints in the US, Europe, Turkey, and Egypt, (Metropolitan Washington Orthopaedic Association, Sport Medisch Centrum Amsterdam (SMCA), Amerikan Hastanesi- Istanbul, Al-Salam International Hospital, Fysiomed Sportmedisch Centrum, Gohar Hospital & Women’s Health Clinic, Cairo University Hospital, Abou el Rish Children’s Hospital), I am fully certified to treat a full spectrum of conditions, including but not limited to; geriatrics, sports injuries, women’s health and musculoskeletal dysfunctions.

Offering evidence based physiotherapy that is also up-to-date with international standards, in a state of the art facility, has always been my goal. Ultimately, that is what my Physio is all about.

I love what I do and every role I play.

Your Physio,
Amina Naguib
